Paddy Prompt Studio ("we", "us", the "site") operates paddystudio.com. We respect your privacy and collect as little data as possible. By using the site you agree to the practices described here.

The short version

  • The prompt tool runs in your browser. We don't ask you to create an account, and anything you save stays on your device.
  • We use Google Analytics to understand traffic in aggregate.
  • We also use our own privacy-friendly analytics, Paddy Analytic, which sets no cookies, doesn't follow you across other websites and forgets visitors after 24 hours.
  • We use Google AdSense to show ads, which may use cookies to make ads more relevant.
  • You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time — links are below.

Information we collect

Information you give us

The site has no login. The only time you actively send us information is if you email us or use the contact form, in which case we receive your name, email address and message so we can reply. We use that only to respond to you.

If you join the Song Builder Pro waitlist, we receive your email address and the plan option you picked. We use your email only to tell you once when Pro opens, and the plan choice to decide on pricing. Ask us through the contact form and we will delete it.

AI-written lyrics in the Song Builder

When you press “Write it with AI” in the Song Builder, the choices you made (genre, mood, voice, tempo, key, theme, length) and anything you typed in “Make it about” are sent through our server to an AI model provider (Google Gemini, via our hosting provider Netlify) to write the lyrics. Please don’t type anything you want to keep private. We don’t store the lyrics or what you typed. To enforce the free daily limit, we store a counter keyed by a one-way scrambled code made from your IP address and the date; your IP address itself is not stored, the code can’t be linked to you on a different day, and counters are deleted after about a week. The free (non-AI) lyrics are made entirely in your browser.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting provider and analytics tools automatically receive standard technical data when you visit — such as your browser type, device, approximate (city/country-level) location, referring page, and the pages you view. This is used to keep the site secure and to understand which content is useful.

Tools embedded on other websites

Some of our free tools can be embedded on other websites. An embedded tool works exactly like it does here: it runs in your browser, keeps its settings in your browser only, and the tuners use your microphone only if you allow it, without recording or uploading any audio. Our privacy-friendly analytics (Paddy Analytic, described below) counts each view of an embedded tool together with the name of the website showing it, so we can see where the tools are used. Embedded tools do not load Google Analytics or advertising.

Information stored on your device

Prompts and presets you choose to save in the studio are stored locally in your own browser (local storage). They are not transmitted to us and are not visible to anyone but you. Clearing your browser data removes them.

To count returning visitors, the site stores a single date — the last day you visited — in your browser's local storage. It contains no ID or personal information and never leaves your browser; on your first visit on a new day, only an anonymous "Return visit" event is sent to Paddy Analytic.

The syllable counter stores the lyrics you write in the same way, in your browser only. To show syllable counts and rhymes it sends individual words (never whole lines or songs) through a proxy on this site to the free Datamuse API. The proxy caches the dictionary's answers so repeat lookups are faster, but does not store which words a visitor looked up.

Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device. We and our partners use them to measure traffic and serve ads. Specifically:

  • Analytics cookies — set by Google Analytics to measure visits and page views in aggregate.
  • Advertising cookies — set by Google AdSense and its partners to serve and measure ads.

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how parts of the site work.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics, a service provided by Google LLC, to understand how visitors use the site. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects usage data such as pages viewed and time on site. This data is aggregated and is not used to personally identify you. You can opt out across all sites by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Paddy Analytic

Alongside Google Analytics, we use Paddy Analytic (paddyanalytic.com), our own privacy-friendly analytics service, to see which pages and tools are useful. It is operated by us, not by an advertising company.

  • What it collects — the page you view, the referring page, your browser and device type, approximate (country/city-level) location, and simple events such as a tool being used, an affiliate or partner link being shown or clicked, or a return visit.
  • No cookies, no cross-site tracking — it does not set cookies, does not build a profile of you and does not follow you across other websites.
  • Forgets you after 24 hours — it can tell visits on the same day apart, but keeps no identifier beyond 24 hours, so it cannot recognise you on a later day.
  • Not shared or sold — the data is used only in aggregate to improve this site and is not sold or shared with advertisers.

If you'd rather not be counted, you can block it with a content or tracker blocker — the site works normally without it.

Advertising & Google AdSense

This site displays advertising provided by Google AdSense. Please note the following:

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies — including the DoubleClick DART cookie — enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
  • You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
  • You can opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalised advertising by visiting aboutads.info or youronlinechoices.eu (EU).

For more information on how Google uses data when you use our partners' sites or apps, see Google's Privacy & Terms.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live (for example under the EU/UK GDPR or the California CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data a service holds about you, and to opt out of personalised advertising and the "sale" or "sharing" of data. You can exercise advertising choices through the links above, manage cookies in your browser, and contact us about any personal data you've sent us directly.

Children's privacy

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

Third-party links

Our content links to external sites such as Suno.com and Vidmuse.ai. We're not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites; please review their own policies.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site evolves or as the law requires. When we do, we'll revise the "last updated" date above. Significant changes will be reflected on this page.
